SPY opened right about where it closed yesterday ... and then it lost the 437 watchlist level. It was basically sell city after that. If you got short into the double-top at 439 you could have grabbed the 437 puts for $1.30-$1.60 ... and those went as high as $5!
The end of the day brought a ton of great plays, including:
- Amazon (AMZN) 3070 puts went from $6-$7 to a high of $22.
- SPY 380 calls went from $0.30 to $0.90 at the highs.
- SPY 435 puts went from $0.50-$0.70 to $2.50.
SHAK Shakes It Up With A Gap-Down Reversal
Shake Shack (SHAK) had its earnings report yesterday and offered us a gap-down reversal this morning. If you got long on the reclaim of our 66 watchlist level with the 70 calls, they were around $0.50. They went as high as $4.00 when it double-topped around 74.
ROKU Slumps After Bad ER
Roku (ROKU) had its earnings report yesterday as well, and the market was not happy with it. It took a large dip down into the low 100s. If you were patient and watching pops to get short (for example, the double top around 2:15), you could have snagged the the 110 puts for about $2.50. They went as high as $7.80. We have our eyes peeled for more downside — we could see 80 or even 70 by the end of next week.
AMZN Pops In The AM
AMZN gave us the perfect short opportunity just before 10am when it popped back into the 3105 watchlist level on a retest of the opening range. The 3100 puts went from $23 to a high of $83. An easy 300% gain.
NVDA Finally Sells Off
NVIDIA Corp (NVDA) finally got the sell message after holding down relatively well yesterday. It popped into our 248 watchlist level and promptly rejected it. The 240 puts went for about $0.80 and ran as high as $8.60 near our 230 watchlist level. Over 10x. Absolutely insane.
Member Trade of the Day
Edumomo member Bonassi traded ROKU, SHAK, AMZN, and SPY puts to end the day 8% up. Nice work!
